The Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3
Pursuant to section 227 of the Education Act 1989 as inserted by section 38 of the Education Amendment Act 1990, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:
N o t i c e
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) This notice shall come into force on 1 January 1991.
- Certain students exempted from part of fee—(1) Clause 4 (1) (f) and 4 (1) (g) of the principal notice are hereby amended by replacing the amounts “$26,832” by the amounts “$27,872”...
(2) Clause 4 (1) of the principal notice is hereby amended by replacing the amount “$125” by the amount “$130”...
(3) Clause 4 (1) (h) (i) of the principal notice is hereby amended by adding after the words “Access Training Scheme” the words “subject to the council, at its absolute discretion, being able to disregard a short period of employment within the 26-week period”...
(4) Clause 4 (1) (h) (ii) of the principal notice is hereby amended by adding after the words “student’s course of study” the words “and has not previously qualified for a reduced tuition fee under the provisions of clause 4 (1) (h)”...
(5) Clauses 4 (1) (i) (ii) and 4 (1) (j) (iii) of the principal notice are hereby amended by replacing the year “1990” by the year “1991”, and by replacing the amount “$6,176” by the amount “$6,564”...
