The Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 675A and section 94 of the Education Act 1964, section 47A of the University of Auckland Act 1961, section 47A of the Waikato Act 1963, section 47a of the Massey University Act 1963, section 48A of the Victoria University of Wellington Act 1961, section 34A of the University of Canterbury Act 1961, section 34A of the University of Otago Amendment Act 1961 and section 46A of the Lincoln University Act 1961, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Tertiary Education Fees (Exemptions) Notice 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Fees exemptions—Clause 4 (1) of the principal notice is hereby amended by inserting, after paragraph (h), the following paragraphs:
“(i) Satisfies the Council that—
(i) the student has a spouse who is not enrolled in more than half of a full-time full-year course at a tertiary institution; and
(ii) the gross combined income in 1990 of the student and the student’s spouse, excluding any income earned by the student from employment and any amount received by way of any benefit under the Social Security Act 1964 during vacations or outside the period of the student’s course of study, is not expected to exceed the sum of $6,716 plus $129.16 multiplied by the number of weeks of that student’s course; or
(j) satisfies the Council that—
(i) the student does not have a spouse; and
(ii) the student has one or more dependent children; and
(iii) the gross income in 1990 of the student, excluding any income earned by the student from employment and any amount received by way of any benefit under the Social Security Act 1964 during vacations or outside the period of the student’s course of study, is not expected to exceed the sum of $129.16 multiplied by the number of weeks of that student’s course.”

Tuberculosis Regulations 1951
Approval of Persons Authorised to Perform Vaccination Against Tuberculosis
Pursuant to regulation 6 (4) of the Tuberculosis Regulations 1951, the Director-General of Health hereby gives notice that the following persons, additional to those contained in the Gazette, dated 20 July 1989, No. 125, page 3094, have been approved as qualified to perform vaccinations against tuberculosis in accordance with those regulations.
