Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commodore Geoffrey Frank Hopkins, O.B.E., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 19 May 1990.

The following are placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves with effect from the date shown:

Commander John McMaster Berridge, B.SC., DIP.ED., DIP.TCHG., 31 March 1990.

Acting Commander Michael de Vere Moore, B.A., M.SC., 17 March 1990.

Lieutenant Commander S. W. Mak is transferred to the Active List of the RNZNVR with effect from 10 March 1990.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander T. R. McKeown, B.A., DIP.ED., is extended until 28 October 1995.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander Michael David Rashleigh, DIP.TCHG., is terminated with effect from 31 March 1990.

Lieutenant Commander G. C. Collier, M.B.E., to be Commander with seniority from 1 September 1989 and effect from 8 June 1990.

The appointment of Chaplain (on prob.) P. A. Collet to the RNZN is confirmed.

Lieutenant Michael Barry Jackson, B.SC., DIP.TCHG., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves with effect from 23 February 1990.

The appointment of Lieutenant Belinda Lorna Dawn Angell, B.SOC.SC., is terminated with effect from 29 May 1990.

Pauline Law (Anglican) to be Chaplain Class IV (on prob.) with seniority from 1 January 1985, effect from 9 February 1990 and is appointed to the RNZN until 8 February 1994.

Mark Edward Taylor, L.TH., (Anglican) to be Chaplain Class IV (on prob.) with seniority from 30 April 1984, effect from 30 April 1990 and is appointed to the RNZN until 29 April 1994.
