Appointment to the Rules Committee

Pursuant to the power vested in the Chief Justice of New Zealand by subsection (2) of section 51B of the Judicature Act 1908 as enacted by section 4 of the Judicature Amendment Act (No. 2) 1985, the Chief Justice of New Zealand has appointed Hugh Fulton Esquire of Auckland, barrister and solicitor, to be a Member of the Rules Committee for a term of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of July 1990.

Education Act 1989

Dissolution of Trust Board

Pursuant to section 107 of the Education Act 1989, I am satisfied that the Mangakino Primary School Board of Trustees should not continue in existence by reason of disharmony and lack of action and I hereby dissolve the Mangakino Primary School Board of Trustees and direct the Secretary of Education to appoint a Commissioner to act in its place.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement Notice

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Manager, District Operations, Central South (Wellington), Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Wellington as the proprietor of the following school:

Cardinal McKeefrey Primary School, Wiltons.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 26th day of June 1990. A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the District Office of the Ministry of Education, 123 Molesworth Street, Wellington.

Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989

The Corporations (Investigation and Management) Appointment of Advisory Committee Notice 1990

Pursuant to section 60 of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989, I, the Honourable William Patrick Jeffries, the Minister of Justice, give the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Appointment of Advisory Committee Notice 1990.

  2. Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,

“The Act” means the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Act 1989;

“The companies” means First Pacific Finance Limited, Mercantile Finance Corporation Limited, and Barley Grange Limited, being companies which are subject to statutory management under the Act by virtue of the Corporations (Investigation and Management) Order 1990*.

  1. Appointment of advisory committee—(1) The following persons are hereby appointed as an advisory committee in relation to the statutory management of the companies:

Donald Gordon Trow of Wellington, university professor.

Stanley James Callahan of Wellington, consultant.

Geoffrey John Fuller of Wellington, manager.

Andrew Roderick Meehan of Wellington, chief executive.

Bruce Message of Sydney, managing director.

Kerry Goodwin Morrell of Wellington, chief manager.

Heughan Bassett Rennie of Wellington, barrister and solicitor.

Thomas Stewart Tennant of Wellington, general manager.

(2) Donald Gordon Trow of Wellington, university professor, is hereby appointed as chairperson of the advisory committee.

(3) The members of the advisory committee are appointed for a term of 12 months.

  1. Additional function of advisory committee—In addition to the function conferred on the advisory committee by section 60 (2) (a) of the Act, the advisory committee shall, in relation to the companies, also report to the Minister of Justice, at intervals of no longer than 6 months, on the exercise of its functions under the Act.
