The Fisheries (Cancellation of Crown Quota for Orange Roughy) Notice 1990 No. 3 (Notice No. 5010)

Pursuant to section 28U (6) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Cancellation of Crown Quota for Orange Roughy) Notice 1990 No. 3.

(2) This notice shall come into effect at the same time as the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986, Amendment No. 7 is effective.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice any reference to a quota management area means the appropriate quota management area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986.

  2. Cancellation of Crown Holdings of Orange Roughy Quota—(1) Pursuant to section 28U of the Fisheries Act 1983, Crown holdings of 378 tonnes of individual transferable quota for orange roughy in the quota management area as set out following are hereby cancelled:

(2) This cancellation is in addition to that made in the Fisheries (Cancellation of Crown Quota for Orange Roughy) Notice 1990 No. 2 (Notice No. 4995).

(3) The total allowable commercial catch for orange roughy in that area is accordingly reduced by 378 tonnes as part of the Total Allowable Commercial Catch reduction for that area effected by clause 3 of the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986, Amendment No. 7.

The following notice is a list, by lot, of all bids made in respect of the call for tenders in respect of cellular mobile and UHF television (Queenstown) issued on 18 May 1990. The amount and validity of each bid is shown.

The list of provisional successful tenderers has already been published in the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, the 28th day of June 1990.

Confirmation will follow any necessary clearances or authorisations under the Commerce Act 1986, where applicable, and payment in settlement, where required, by the tenderers concerned.

Final results for lots will be published in detail in the New Zealand Gazette in due course.
