Whereas, pursuant to section 43 (4) of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, the Auckland Regional Council is entitled to exercise all the powers, authorities, and discretions vested in the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960:

And whereas the said Auckland Regional Council has petitioned His Excellency the Governor-General that certain areas of Manukau City and Papakura District be included within the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District:

Now therefore, pursuant to section 8 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

Order

1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order 1990.

(2) This order shall come into force on 1 July 1990.

2. Boundary altered—The boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District is hereby altered so as to include the areas defined in the Schedules hereto.

First Schedule

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau, bounded by a line commencing on the line of mean high water, spring tide of the Manukau Harbour, being the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of part Allotment 75, Manurewa Parish (as defined on D.P. 13909), and Pukaki Creek, Block IX, Otahuhu Survey District, thence proceeding south-easterly, westerly and northerly along the said line of M.H.W.M. ST. to its intersection with the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 32275, thence proceeding westerly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 1 to its intersection with the eastern side of Westney Road, along a right line across Westney Road, being the production of the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 32275, to the centre line of George Bolt Drive, thence northerly generally along the centre line of George Bolt Drive to its intersection with Montgomerie Road; thence north westerly by a right line to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 118581, thence northerly and easterly generally along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1972, page 486; 1961, page 422; Third Schedule, Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960 (page 845) and Gazette, 1985, page 5374 to the point of commencement.

Second Schedule

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 40835, Block XIII, Otahuhu Survey District and proceeding westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 88002, to its south-western corner, thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Lot 1 and its production to the south-western corner of Part Lot 10, D.P. 25968, thence easterly, northerly, easterly, southerly and westerly generally along the boundary of the inner area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1984, page 335; 1961, page 422; 1985, page 3727; 1972, page 486; 1985, page 3727 and 1972, page 486 respectively to the point of commencement.

Third Schedule

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, City of Manukau commencing at western side of Chapel Road, Block VII, Otahuhu Survey District; in line with the northern side of Browns Lane and proceeding north-easterly along that western roadside and that roadside produced across East Tamaki Road to its western side and continuing along the western roadside of East Tamaki Road across all intervening roads to its intersection with Whitford Road; thence by the production of that western roadside boundary of East Tamaki Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 43, D.P. 119355 (shown as 124° 27' 20.00 metres), thence easterly by a right line to the aforesaid southern boundary of Lot 43, D.P. 119355, thence south-westerly to and along the last-mentioned boundary to its southernmost corner, thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary (shown as 34' 27' 0.64 metres) thence south-easterly along the north-eastern roadside of Whitford Road to the south-eastern corner of Lot 40, D.P. 119355, thence southerly at bearing 214° 27' distance 0.64 metres thence south-easterly along the north-eastern roadside of Whitford Road a point in line with the production of the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 69063; southerly along a right line across Whitford Road, to and southerly generally along the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 69063, Lots 2, 4 and 6, D.P. 69352, by a right line across an unnamed public road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 10, D.P. 53064, thence southerly generally along the eastern boundaries of the said Lot 10 and part Allotment 116, Pakuranga Parish to the south-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 91713, easterly along the southern boundary of the said Lot 1.
