The Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 2, 1989
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:
N o t i c e
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 2, 1989.
The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
The Traffic (Westland County) Notice No. 3, 1971, dated the 27th day of May 1971, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Westland County at Whataroa:
No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 400 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Whataroa Flat Road to the Maitainui Creek Bridge.
Murray Street.
Roberts Street.
Scally Road: from Whataroa Flat Road to a point 120 metres measured westerly, generally, along Scally Road from Whataroa Flat Road.
Whataroa Flat Road: from Scally Road to a point 120 metres measured northerly, generally, along Whataroa Flat Road from Scally Road.
Wilson Street.
Second Schedule
Situated within Westland County at Whataroa:
No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 800 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Whataroa Flat Road to a point 400 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Whataroa Flat Road.

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986
Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 2nd day of November 1987, I, Warren Richard Gillespie Simeon, Superintendent, Traffic Instruction, hereby approve the following organisations to be defensive driving organisations for the purposes of section 68 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 32 (2) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987.
Willis Street Driving School, Wellington.
Waikato Dairy Co-operative Ltd., Cambridge.

Local Authorities Loans Act 1956
Consent to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
