The Securities Amendment Act 1988
Proposed Recommendation for Regulations About Substantial Security Holders
Pursuant to section 70 (3) of the Securities Act 1978 (as applied by section 36 (6) of the Securities Amendment Act 1988), notice is hereby given that the Securities Commission intends to make a recommendation for the making of regulations.
The recommendation relates to the making of regulations relating to the disclosure of interests of substantial security holders in public issuers. The proposed regulations will prescribe—
(a) The forms of notices required to be given pursuant to sections 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988;
(b) The information required to be contained in those notices;
(c) The documents, certificates and statements that are required to accompany or be annexed to those notices;
(d) The manner in which those notices are to be given and acknowledged.
A copy of the proposed recommendations may be inspected at the offices of the Commission, Level 6, Greenock House, 39 The Terrace, Wellington.
