Reserves Act 1977

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Waikato Regional Manager of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Thames-Coromandel District Council on the 23rd day of February 1989.

"That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Thames-Coromandel District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said council in fee simple and, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act."

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall Be Utilised

Pursuant to section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director of Recreation and Tourism, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation over those parts of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Mount Maunganui Borough Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from sale to be paid into council’s reserves account, such monies to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
