School Trustees Act 1989

Hogben School Board of Trustees Notice 1989

Pursuant to section 6 (1) (a) and section 11 (10) of the School Trustees Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Hogben School Board of Trustees Notice 1989.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The Hogben School Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

    • the principal of the Hogben School;
    • the head teacher of the school facilities in Hogben School;
    • one (1) staff member elected by and from the staff of the Hogben School;
    • five (5) parent representatives elected by and from the parents of students enrolled at the school;
    • up to four (4) members co-opted by the board itself.
  3. The terms of office of elected appointed and ex-officio members shall commence on the 10th day of August 1989 and shall cease on that day in May 1992 preceding the day on which the newly appointed board holds its annual meeting as required by the School Trustees Act 1989.

  4. Co-opted trustees shall serve a term of office not exceeding 3 years as specified by the board.

  5. Any member of the board may be re-appointed or re-elected, for further terms of office.

  6. Casual vacancies shall be filled in accordance with the School Trustees Act 1989.

  7. The first election of the parent and staff representatives shall be held on Saturday, 8 July 1989.

  8. The Board of Trustees shall hold its first meeting on Thursday, 10 August 1989.

    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The Kimi Ora School, Hastings, Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

    • the principal of the Kimi Ora School, Hastings;
    • one (1) staff member elected by and from the staff of the primary school and early childhood centres operating on the site of Kimi Ora School at Flaxmere;
    • five (5) parents elected by and from parents of students in the primary school and early childhood centres operating on the site of Kimi Ora School at Flaxmere;
    • one (1) representative appointed by the Hawkes Bay Polytechnic Council;
    • up to four (4) members co-opted by the board itself.
  3. The terms of office of elected appointed and ex-officio members shall commence on the 10th day of August 1989 and shall cease on that day in May 1992 preceding the day on which the newly appointed board holds its annual meeting as required by the School Trustees Act 1989.

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Glenburn Centre School Board of Trustees Notice 1989.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  2. The Glenburn Centre School Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

    • one (1) representative appointed by the Presbyterian Support Services (Northern) Board of Trustees;
    • the manager of the Glenburn Centre School;
    • the head teacher of the school facility in the Glenburn Centre School;
    • one (1) staff member elected by and from the staff of the school facility in the Glenburn Centre School;
    • up to five (5) persons appointed by the Minister of Education as the Minister considers appropriate;
    • up to four (4) members co-opted by the board itself.
  3. The terms of office of elected appointed and ex-officio members shall commence on the 10th day of August 1989 and shall cease on that day in May 1992 preceding the day on which the newly appointed board holds its annual meeting as required by the School Trustees Act 1989.

  4. Co-opted trustees shall serve a term of office not exceeding 3 years as specified by the board.
