Local Authorities Loans Act 1956

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Borough of Levin taken on the 18th day of March 1989, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $1,000,000 to be known as the Indoor Swimming Pool Complex Loan for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of building an indoor swimming pool complex resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 2271.

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5238.

The number of informal votes was 32.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Dated this 5th day of April 1989.
