Area Health Boards Act 1983

The Auckland Area Health Board Notice 1989

Whereas it appears to the Minister of Health that the Auckland Area Health Board is seriously mismanaging its affairs: And whereas the Minister of Health is satisfied with respect to that Board that urgent intervention is necessary in the public interest:

Now therefore, pursuant to section 62 (1) of the Area Health Boards Act 1983, the Minister of Health hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—

(1) This notice may be cited as the Auckland Area Health Board Notice 1989.

(2) This notice shall come into force at 1 p.m. on the 21st day of March 1989.

2. Appointment of Commission—

Harold Mervyn Titter of Auckland, company director, is hereby appointed to be a Commission (to be known as the Auckland Area Health Board Commission) to act in place of the Auckland Area Health Board.

3. Functions, duties, and powers—

The Auckland Area Health Board Commission shall have and may exercise, to the exclusion of the Auckland Area Health Board, all the functions, duties, and powers of that board.
