Traffic Regulations 1976

Approval of Motorcycle Safety Helmets in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to subclause (1) of Regulation 88, of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport by an instrument of delegation dated the 2nd day of November 1987, motorcycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto are hereby approved for the purposes of Regulation 31 of the said Regulations.

Schedule

Safety helmets manufactured by Pacific Helmets (NZ) Ltd., bearing the model designation Panza, manufactured to comply with US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 under a licence issued by the Standards Association of New Zealand, and marked or otherwise labelled accordingly.

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962; and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 2nd day of November 1987, I, Geoffrey Thomas Henry, Assistant Director of Road Transport, hereby approve the following organisations to be defensive driving organisations for the purposes of section 68 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 32 (2) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987.

The Waikato Polytechnic Transition Education Department, Hamilton.
Shanan Driving School, Eltham, Taranaki.
