Solicitor of the Department of Lands, Hamilton hereby amends the declaration dated 4 October 1985, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 October 1985, No. 187 at page 4394, acquiring land for coal mining operations under Part IV of the Coal Mines Act 1979 by omitting the words “All certificate of title, Volume 1099, folio 286” from the description of the land thirdly described in the Schedule and substituting “Part certificate of title, Volume 1099, folio 286”.

Pursuant to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, being satisfied that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in the Crown, hereby declare the said land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
