Traffic Regulations 1976

Approval of Revolving/Flashing Amber Lights for Queens Baton Relay Support Motorcycles

Pursuant to regulation 67 (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Chief Traffic Engineer, approve the fitting and use of one revolving or flashing amber light on the following vehicles:

Yamaha YFM250A four wheel motorcycles, registration Nos. 62RQU, 63RQU, 64RQU and 19RQT.

This approval is given subject to the following conditions:

  1. The lights may only be used during the Queens Baton Relay in accordance with the instructions from the Ministry of Transport’s escorting officers and when the vehicles are being used by the Police for crowd control.

  2. The lights shall be removed at the completion of the 1990 Commonwealth Games.
