November 1989, the following special resolution was passed by the company, namely:

"1. That following the merger of six South Island Automobile Associations with the Automobile Association (Central) Inc., that the operations of AA Canterbury Travel Ltd. now be directed through the Parent Company AA Travel (Central) Ltd.

2. That the company be wound up voluntarily and all IATA accrediting be transferred to AA Travel (Central) Ltd.

3. That Nigel John Hutt of Lower Hutt, accountant be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of winding up the affairs of the company and distributing the assets."
