(e) The Bill provides for the continuation of the existing National Provident Fund schemes on largely the existing terms and conditions:
(f) The benefits provided by the existing schemes, and the repayment of money deposited before the transfer day in accordance with the existing investment arrangements, will continue to be guaranteed by the Crown:
(g) The Bill provides for the Minister and the company to enter into a contract relating to the management of the existing schemes:
(h) The existing National Provident Fund schemes will, as from 1 April 1991, no longer be subsidised by the Crown, except in cases where the employer is a charity. Provision is made for an increase in employer contributions to those schemes to counter the removal of the subsidy:
(i) The National Provident Fund’s monopoly over local authority superannuation business, and its privileged deposit taking arrangements, will cease as at 1 April 1991:
(j) The National Provident Fund Department will cease to be a department of the public service.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 11A (1) of the Animals Act 1967, land on R. N. Bank’s property, No. 6 Fairdale Avenue, Papakura, Auckland, being Lot No. 254, Deposit Plan 77519, being 746 square metres, more or less in area, is hereby declared to be a Special Quarantine Ground for the importation of animals.

Modification of Reference 75 Concessions Under Part II of the Tariff of New Zealand
I, David John Butcher, Minister of Commerce, acting pursuant to section 8 (2) of the Tariff Act 1988, modify the approval in respect of entry of goods of the class specified in concession Reference No. 75 in Part II of the Tariff of New Zealand, by omitting the expression “$65” wherever it occurs and substituting the expression “$110”.

Pursuant to section 65 (2) (a) of the Conservation Act 1987, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
Order
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Christchurch City (Reserves) Empowering Act (Ministerial Responsibility) Order 1989.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
