I, Thomas Edwin Law, Senior Advisory Officer (Harbours Management), being a person duly authorised by instrument of sub-delegation signed by the Secretary for Transport on 16 December 1987 and being an employee of the Ministry of Transport, hereby approve pursuant to section 8A (8) and 165 (9) of the Harbours Act 1950, the Lakes District Waterways Authority Control Bylaws 1989 passed by the Lakes District Waterways Authority at a meeting held on 9 May 1989.

Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 176 to 182 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Nelson Harbour Board to reclaim an area of 2.0910 hectares of the foreshore and seabed of Nelson Haven as shown on plan M.D. 16525 (S.O. 14443), deposited in the office of the General Manager, Maritime Transport at Wellington and as more particularly described in the Schedule below.

Schedule

All that area of foreshore and seabed containing 2.0910 hectares, more or less, being tidal land comprised in Gazette 1905, page 754 and being Port Nelson Harbour Board Endowment, Block XVI, Moutere Survey District, shown as 'A' on plan M.D. 16525 (S.O. 14443).

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947

Notice of Application for the Renewal of an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 15 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Polynesian Airlines Holdings Limited has applied for the renewal of its International Air Service Licence to operate air services for the carriage of passengers, cargo and mail between Western Samoa and New Zealand for a further 6-month period from 1 November 1989. Further details of this proposal may be obtained from the General Manager, Air Transport Division, Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt.

Any person or organisation desiring to make representations relating to this application, must forward these representations in writing to reach me on or before 1 September 1989.
