The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Notice 1989

Pursuant to section 61 (2) (b) of the Electoral Act 1956, the Chief Registrar of Electors hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Notice 1989.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. Date for closing of the main rolls—The main roll for every General electoral district and for every Maori electoral district shall close on the 1st day of September 1989.

Dated at Wellington this 31st day of July 1989.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
