Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and it shall hereafter be so held.

Wellington Land District—Lower Hutt City

211 square metres, more or less, being Lot 4, D.P. 7861, situated in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1962, page 519 (Part DOC 524363).

Order in Council Authorising Key Industries Ltd. to Reclaim Land

Pursuant to section 175 (3) and subject to sections 175A, 175B and 175C (b) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Conservation and with the approval of the Minister of Transport and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Key Industries Ltd. (the named applicant in respect of a joint venture between Northaven Marina Ltd. and Wilkins and Davies Marinas Ltd.) to reclaim an area of 3.487 hectares of land more particularly described in the Schedule below.

The authorisation is subject to the conditions set out therein and can be viewed at the Auckland Regional Office of the Department of Conservation.

Schedule

All that parcel of land containing 3.487 hectares, more or less, situated in the North Auckland Land District and more particularly shown marked (A) Pt Bed of Waitemata Harbour, (B) Pt Bed of Waitemata Harbour and (C) Pt Reclaimed Land on D.P. 19921, but excluding that area marked “AREA NOT TO BE RECLAIMED”, on plan DOC (CM) AK (00129) SO 63335, Sheet (1) of (1) deposited in the Auckland Regional Office of the Department of Conservation.

Land Act 1948

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a Government purpose reserve (wildlife refuge), subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, and further, declares that the said reserve shall be subject to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953.
