Public Trust Office Act 1957

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under Public Trust Office Act 1957—Part V

Whereas:

(1) Longridge Motors Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Gore, is the registered owner of the property mentioned in the Schedule (“the property”).

(2) The company known as Longridge Motors Limited was dissolved in 1979.

(3) The property would vest in the Crown under section 337 of the Companies Act or otherwise if it were not subject to a trust for any other person, and after due enquiry it is not known whether it is subject to any such trust.

(4) The gross value of the property (as estimated by the public trustee) does not exceed $4,000.

(5) The public trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become manager of the property.

Now therefore the public trustee in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by section 50 (2) of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, hereby elects to be manager of the property under Part V of the said Act.

Schedule

All that parcel of land containing 438 square metres, more or less, being Section 1086, Block XVI, Hokonui District and being also the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume A2, folio 1269 (Southland Registry).

Notice of Intention to Hold an Inquiry into Operation of a Transport Licence

Take notice that pursuant to section 140 (1) (a) of the Transport Act 1962, the Dunedin Transport Licensing Authority (J. P. Wollerman), will hold an inquiry into the manner of operation of the service conducted under Taxicab Service Licence No. 27026/01 to determine whether the licensee, owing to changed circumstances, no longer meets the criteria set out in section 124 of the Act.
