Marine Farming Act 1971

Declaring Areas in Mahurangi Harbour Not Available for Marine Farming Leasing or Licensing (Notice No. 4916)

Pursuant to section 4 of the Marine Farming Act 1971, the Minister of Fisheries has made the following determination.

  1. That the notice entitled “Declaring Areas in Mahurangi Harbour Not Available for Marine Farming Leases or Licences” (Notice No. 2697, Ag. 9/5/K) of the 7th day of October 1981 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 122 of the 22nd day of October 1981 at page 2917 is hereby revoked.

  2. That the notice entitled “Declaring Areas in Mahurangi Harbour Not Available for Marine Farming Leases or Licences” (Notice No. 4134) of the 27th day of July 1987 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 128 of the 6th day of August 1987 at page 3726 is hereby revoked.

  3. That the area described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be available for marine farming leases and licences.

  4. That the area described in the Second Schedule hereto is suitable for marine farming but shall not be available for leasing or licensing.

The determination shall come into effect on the date of publication of this notice and shall remain in effect until such time as it is revoked.

First Schedule

All that area of foreshore, seabed and water in the Mahurangi Harbour excepting those outlined in red and identified as “oyster leases” and “available for oyster farming” on plan No. MAF 194.

Second Schedule

All that area of seabed and water in the Mahurangi Harbour identified as “cleansing area” and coloured yellow on plan No. MAF 194 and as shown marked A on S.O. Plan 61368.

The plan No. MAF 194 is lodged in the office of the Fisheries Management Division at the Head Office of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries in Wellington and the regional office in Auckland.

Noxious Plants Act 1978

Notice Declaring Water Poppy (Hydrocleys nymphoides) a Class B Noxious Plant (No. 4914; Ag. 12/10/18/6)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares water poppy (Hydrocleys nymphoides) to be a Class B noxious plant in that part of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Matamata District Noxious Plants Authority.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after its date of notification in the Gazette.

Notice Declaring Entire Marshwort (Nymphoides geminata) a Class B Noxious Plant (No. 4915; Ag. 12/10/18/6)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares entire marshwort (Nymphoides geminata) to be a Class B noxious plant in that part of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Paparua/Waimairi, Malvern and Ashburton District Noxious Plants Authorities.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after its date of notification in the Gazette.
