Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976

Specifications Declared Suitable

Pursuant to the provisions of regulation 18 (3) of the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976, the following specifications are declared suitable for the purposes of these regulations, subject to the general conditions specified below:

General Conditions for Australian Standards

1. Where AS3000 is referenced, add—or the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1976.

2. Where AS3100 is referenced, add—or NZS6200.

3. Where AS3300 is referenced, add—or NZS6300.

Australian Standards

AS 2184-1985 Low voltage switchgear and control gear—Moulded-case Circuit Breakers for Rated Voltages up to and including 600V ac and 250V dc.

AS 3101-1985 and amendment—Approval and test specification—Electric Bread Toasters.

AS 3103-1985 and amendments—Approval and test specification—Electric Room Heaters.

AS 3105-1987 Approval and test specification—Electric Portable Outlet Devices.

Declared suitable subject to the following conditions:

(1) Clause 5 (b), “full stop after AS 3112 and delete reference to caravan inlet socket”.
