19.2 Motorcycle Weekend Saver

Motorcycle Weekend Saver rates are available to all vehicles which are eligible for charges as specified in clause 19.1 and meet the following additional conditions:

— The concession is available for return trips of the same vehicle only.
— The return trip must be made between the first sailing on a Friday and the last sailing the following Monday.
— The passenger fares are in addition as detailed in clause 9.2.2 Motorcycle Weekend Saver.
— The Weekend Saver is not available during the peak Standard season (9 Dec. 1988–8 Feb. 1989) or on National Public Holiday weekends.
— Weekend Savers sold for a weekend when seasons change will be charged at the rate applicable for the outward journey.

Vehicles eligible for the Motorcycle Weekend Saver are charged at the following rates:

19.3 Off Peak Saver

Off Peak Saver rates as detailed below are available to all vehicles which are eligible for charges as specified in clause 19.1 and meet the following additional conditions:

— Only available on the following sailings:
5.40 a.m. ex Picton—daily except Monday.
10.20 p.m. ex Picton—Monday only.
6.40 p.m. ex Wellington—daily except Sunday and Friday.

— The Off Peak Saver is not available during the peak Standard season (9 Dec. 1988–8 Feb. 1989) or on National Public Holiday weekends. When a National Public Holiday falls on a Friday, the Off Peak Saver concession fare is not available on the preceding Thursday.

— The Off Peak Saver vehicle fares must be bought in conjunction with Off Peak passenger fares as specified in clause 9.2.2.

19.4 Owner’s Risk

The foregoing rates are at “limited carriers risk” and will be reduced by 2 percent where passengers require that the motorcycles, etc., be carried at “owner’s risk”.

19.5 Not on own wheels

Motorcycles, power cycles and motorscooters accompanying passengers but not ridden or wheeled onto the vessel by the passenger must be consigned as parcels traffic.

Revocation of Exemption From Requirements as to Flashing or Revolving Red Lights

Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the Secretary for Transport hereby revokes the New Zealand Gazette* exemptions described in the Schedule hereto, in relation to ambulances operated by the Wellington Free Ambulance Service Incorporated.

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Transport Licensing Authority (I. P. Wollerment) gives notice of the receipt of the following applications and will hold a public sitting on the date and at the place and times shown to hear evidence for and against granting the same. Hearing to commence at 9.30 a.m. at the Conference Room, Ministry of Transport Building, corner Cashel and Montreal Streets, Christchurch on Wednesday, 22 June 1988.
