New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981

General Scale of Charges—Amendment No. 15

Pursuant to the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation hereby makes the following alterations and additions to the General Scale of Charges and the rates, charges, terms and conditions contained in the General Scale of Charges, published in the supplement dated the 24th day of March 1982, to the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of March 1982, and hereby declares that such alterations and additions shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1988.

(i) Section 9 of Contents Part I—PASSENGER and Sections 17.4, 18.3 and 19 of Contents Part II—VEHICLES ON SEARAIL SERVICE and clauses 9.1, 9.2 to 9.2.2, 11.4, 12.7.2, 15.9.4, 17.4.1, 17.4.3, 17.4.4, 18.3 to 18.3.2 and 19.1 are hereby altered;

(ii) Clauses 9.2.3, 9.2.4 to 9.2.6 are hereby revoked and substituted by new clauses 9.3 to 9.3.12;

(iii) New clauses 17.5.6, 17.4.6, 18.3.4 are added;

(iv) Clauses 19.2 and 19.3 hereby become clause 19.4 and 19.5 respectively and new clauses 19.2 and 19.3 are added as follows:

9.1 Tickets

Tickets may be purchased for passenger travel on the Cook Strait Searail service between Wellington and Picton from a Corporation booking office or from an authorised booking agency. Bookings may be made in any calendar month for travel during the subsequent six calendar months unless otherwise specified under clause 9.3.

9.2 Fares

Tickets which entitle the holders to travel on specific sailings of the Cook Strait Searail service shall be issued at the following fares:

9.2.1 Seasons:

Standard—19 August 1988–14 September 1988
9 December 1988–8 February 1989
23 March 1989–29 March 1989
4 May 1989–24 May 1989

Bargain— 1 June 1988–18 August 1988
15 September 1988–8 December 1988
9 February 1989–22 March 1989
30 March 1989–3 May 1989
25 May 1989–31 July 1989
