The Exchange Control (Authorised Foreign Exchange Dealers) Notice 1988

Pursuant to the Exchange Control Regulations 1985, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Exchange Control (Authorised Foreign Exchange Dealers) Notice 1988.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1988.

  1. Designation of authorised foreign exchange dealers—The persons named in the Schedule to this notice are designated as authorised foreign exchange dealers.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 1 June 1988, designates the persons who are authorised foreign exchange dealers for the purposes of the Exchange Control Regulations 1985. As a result of the Exchange Control Regulations 1985, Amendment No. 15, the Reserve Bank is required, with effect from 1 June 1988, to designate authorised foreign exchange dealers for the purposes of the regulations. At present authorised foreign exchange dealers are listed in the First Schedule to those regulations. The persons designated in this notice are the same as those listed in the First Schedule except that the names “Natwest Lombank (New Zealand) Limited” and “South Pacific Merchant Finance Limited” are omitted. The name “Security Pacific Bank New Zealand Limited” is substituted for the name “Security Pacific New Zealand Limited” as a result of a change in its name.
