Animals Protection Act 1960

Approval of Code of Ethical Conduct (Notice No. 4361; Ag. 6/15/9/5)

Pursuant to section 19A of the Animals Protection Act 1960 and on the advice of the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee, I hereby approve the adoption by the New Zealand Dairy Board Livestock Improvement Division at Newstead of the approved code of ethical conduct of the University of Waikato.

Animal Remedies Act 1967

Reappointment of Member to the Animal Remedies Board (No. 4360; Ag. 1/53/2/4)

Notice is hereby given by direction of the Minister of Agriculture that pursuant to section 5 of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to reappoint

Andrew Ian McKenzie, veterinarian of Wellington (on the nomination of the Minister)

as a member of the Animal Remedies Board for a period of 3 years from 19 March 1988.

Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1955

Repeal and Declaration of New Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Areas (Notice No. 4358; Ag. 4/51/6/3)

Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1955, I, Colin Moyle, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, hereby declare that all the previous declarations of bobby calf marketing pool areas established pursuant to regulation 3 of the regulations or bobby calf marketing pool areas deemed to be established pursuant to regulation 3 (3) of the regulations are hereby revoked, and being satisfied that not less than three-quarters of the producers in the areas of land defined in the Schedule hereto are in favour that such areas should be declared to be pool areas for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such areas of land defined as aforesaid, to be bobby calf marketing pool areas for the purposes of the said regulations under the names set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 25th day of April 1988.

Northland All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Mangonui, Whangaroa, Hokianga, Bay of Islands, Whangarei, Otamatea and Rodney.
Northern Wairoa All that area of land lying entirely within the Hobson county.
South Auckland All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Franklin, Raglan, Waikato, Waipa, Tauramanui, Hauraiki, Plains, Ohinemuri, Piako, Matamata, Taupo and Great Barrier Island, the Districts of Otorohanga, Waikato, Thames-Coromandel and Rotorua and the Auckland Metropolitan area.
Bay Milk All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Tauranga and Opotiki counties and the Whakatane District.
Moa Nui All that area of land lying entirely within the Clifton county and the Districts of North Taranaki and Inglewood.
Egmont All that area of land lying entirely within the Egmont and Waimate West counties.
Kiwi All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Stratford, Eltham, Patea and Wairoa and the Hawera District.
Manawatu All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Waimarino, Wanganui, Rangitikei, Kiwitea, Pohangina, Oroua, Manawatu, Kairanga, Horowhenua and Hutt and the Wellington Metropolitan area.
Tui All that area of land lying entirely within the counties of Hawke’s Bay, Dannevirke, Woodville, Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Masterton, Wairarapa South and Featherston, that portion of land of the Wairoa county situate within the
