Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice prescribes limits within which radio frequency energy produced by interfering equipment (as defined in regulation 35 of the Radio Regulations 1987) of the classes specified in the notice must be suppressed. With the exception of clauses 7 and 8, the notice comes into force on the day after it is published in the Gazette. Clauses 7 and 8 come into force on 1 September 1988.
The notice prescribes limits by reference to standards issued by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference of the International Electrotechnical Commission.
