Import Control Regulations 1973

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 3) 1988

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973 (“the regulations”) the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 3) 1988.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1988.

  1. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence or permit under the regulations.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff item in the Second Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of Australia, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence or permit under the regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence or permit under the regulations, in respect of goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the Third Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, included in the exemption notices shown in the Third Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

  4. Where in this notice, the expression “Ex.” appears beside a Tariff item, the exemption or withdrawal of exemption from the requirement of a licence or permit under this notice shall only apply to the class or classes of goods specified as applying to the Tariff item.
