Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Greymouth Borough Council taken on Friday, 4 March 1988 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $2,731,630 to be known as Civic Chambers Office Block Loan 1987 for the purpose of erecting a four-storey office building resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 508,
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2,535.
The number of informal votes was 15.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Dated this 14th day of March 1988.
