Notice of Result of Poll on Loan Proposal

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Waiheke County taken on 12 December 1987, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $130,000 to be known as the Capital Works Loan 1987, for the purpose of undertaking various work projects in the council's roads, streets, and bridges activity account, i.e., stormwater upgrading, miscellaneous works, and Due Street carparking improvements resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 994

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 817

The number of informal votes was 59

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Waiheke County taken on 12 December 1987, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $180,000 to be known as the Works and Development Loan 1986, for the purpose of undertaking various work projects in the council’s roads, streets, and bridges activity account, and for the acquisition of various technical equipment under the engineering department activity account resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 817

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 981

The number of informal votes was 68

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Waiheke County taken on 12 December 1987, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $355,500 to be known as the Quarry Development Loan 1987, for the purpose of construction of a glory hole in the Waiheke County Council Quarry zone resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 433

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1369

The number of informal votes was 68

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the electors of the Waiheke County taken on 12 December 1987, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $90,000 to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1987, for the purposes of advancing funds to staff to purchase a property for the purpose of a dwelling under the Waiheke County Council’s housing and property activity account resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 346

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1452

The number of informal votes was 64

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
