Lake Taupo Regulations 1976
Revocation of an Area of Lake Taupo Reserved for Parasailing
Pursuant to regulation 25 (1) (b) of the Lake Taupo Regulations 1976, the Secretary for Local Government hereby revokes the area reserved for parasailing as described in the Schedule hereto.
Schedule
All that area of the waters of Whangamata Bay, Lake Taupo commencing 250 metres west of the Kinloch Marina entrance at the Kowhai Tree, and extending 200 metres along the shore and 200 metres south into the lake.

The Local Government Commission (Validation of Determination) Order 1988

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At Wellington this 8th day of February 1987
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the Local Government Commission is required by section 125A (6) of the Local Government Act 1974 (as applied by section 61A (9) of the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963, as inserted by section 41 (2) of the Urban Transport Act 1980) to determine any objection received by it to any decision of the Auckland Regional Authority under section 125A (4) of the Local Government Act 1974 (as so applied) on any objection against a resolution of the Authority under section 125 (1) of that Act determining the basis on which the net urban transport expenditure of the Authority is to be assessed and charged to local authorities:
And whereas, in December 1985 and in January and February 1986, the Local Government Commission was required by section 125A (6) of that Act (as it then stood) to make its determination within 1 month after receiving the objection:
And whereas an objection to such a decision made on the 16th day of December 1985 was received from the Auckland City Council on the 8th day of January 1986:
And whereas the determination was signed on the 19th day of February 1986, which was not within the 1-month period specified in section 125A (6) of the Local Government Act 1974 (as substituted by section 14 (2) of the Local Government Amendment Act 1980):
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 719 of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
Order
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Local Government Commission (Validation of Determination) Order 1988.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
- Validation—The determination by the Local Government Commission of the objection by the Auckland City Council against the dismissal by the Auckland Regional Authority of the Auckland City Council’s objection to the Authority’s apportionment of net urban transport expenditure for 1986/87, which determination was signed on the 19th day of February 1986, is hereby declared to be and to have always been as valid as it would be if it had been made within the time required by section 125A (6) of the Local Government Act 1974 (as substituted by section 14 (2) of the Local Government Amendment Act 1980).
