Consent to the Distribution of New Medicines
Pursuant to section 20 of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby consents to the distribution in New Zealand of the new medicines set out in the Schedule hereto:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 8 (1) of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
Order
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Amendment Order 1988, and shall be read together and deemed part of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order (No. 2) 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal order”).
(2) This order shall be deemed to have come into force on the same day as the principal order.
- Effective date—Clause 1 (2) of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Order (No. 2) 1987 is hereby revoked, and the following subclause is hereby substituted:
“(2) This order shall come into force on 1 April 1988.”

Waimea County Council Bylaw Confirmed
The following certificate has been executed on a sealed copy of the Waimea County Council Bylaw for Control of Reserves No. 19 made by special order of the Waimea County Council on 13 November 1987 and confirmed at a subsequent council meeting held on 11 December 1987.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At Wellington this 26th day of January 1988

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 36 of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
Order
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Kairanga County - Manawatu County Union Order 1988.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the day on which the Returning Officer, pursuant to the Local Elections and Polls Act 1976, declares the result of the election of members of the district council, or on the first day of April 1988, whichever is the later.
(3) Those provisions of this order necessary to provide for the first election of the district council shall come into force on the date of the making of this order.
- Constitution—(1) The districts of Kairanga County and Manawatu County are hereby united into one district to be known as the Manawatu District (hereinafter referred to as “the united district”).
(2) The Kairanga County Council and the Manawatu County Council (hereinafter referred to as “the uniting authorities”) are hereby dissolved.
(3) There shall be a council for the united district to be known as the Manawatu District Council (hereinafter referred to as “the district council”).
