Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Acting District Solicitor of the Department of Lands, Hamilton declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for water power development, and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Hobson County

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road, which is to vest in the Crown, and is to be used for the southern approach to the Kirikopuni Stream Bridge in Hobson County.

The taking is considered reasonably necessary as the land lies within the existing State Highway 14 and in the line of the approach to the proposed bridge.

Any person, having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 working days after the date of first publication of this notice send in an objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

North Auckland Land District

750 square metres, situated in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, being part Maungaru Block; shown marked “A” on S.O. Plan 60569, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland.

The land is situated in the middle of State Highway 14, immediately adjacent to the southern border of the Kirikopuni Stream.

Amending a Declaration Acquiring Land for Road in Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District, Hikurangi Town District

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Manager, Department of Lands, hereby amends the declaration dated the 9th day of March 1988, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 24 March 1988, No. 51, at page 1152, acquiring land for road in Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District, Hikurangi Town District, pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, by inserting in the operative clause after the words “hereby acquired for road” the words “excepting therefrom all mines beds and seams of coal lying and being in or under the said lands. Subject to a mining easement reserved by transfer 522309 and lease 10102 of tramway rights over part of the Hikurangi Coal Company Ltd. Term: 99 years from 1 March 1921”.
