Fisheries Act 1983
Consent to Barclays Bank NZ Ltd. to Hold 40 percent of Paua Individual Transferable Quota in Central Area (Notice No. 4465)
Pursuant to section 28W(4) of the Fisheries Act 1983, and after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board, I hereby consent to Barclays Bank New Zealand Ltd. holding not more than 40 percent of the individual transferable quota for the Central quota management area in respect of paua, upon and subject to the following conditions:
(a) that it has advanced monies to the quota holder from whom it acquires the ITQ or the quota holder has guaranteed to repay monies advanced by the bank to a third party;
(b) the ITQ is subsequently leased or subleased back to the quota holder; and
(c) the quota holder has the right, having complied with the terms of the lease or sublease herebefore referred to and with the terms of any other instrument between Barclays and the quota holder relating to the ITQ, to obtain the reversionary interest in that ITQ held by Barclays;
(d) Barclays will not take and will not authorise any other person on its behalf to take the fish to which the ITQ relates other than by transferring or leasing or subleasing the ITQ to a person authorised to acquire the ITQ under the Fisheries Act 1983.

Reappointment of Members to the Pesticides Board (No. 4467; Ag. 1/53/2/1)
Notice is hereby given by direction of the Minister of Agriculture that pursuant to section 12 of the Pesticides Act 1979, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has been pleased to reappoint:
Dr Graeme Wesley Butler, retired Director-General of Wellington (on the nomination of the Minister of Science);
John Edward Reeve, scientific officer of Wellington (on the nomination of the Minister of Health);
Margaret Peace, retired farmer of Blenheim (on the nomination of the Minister for the Environment);
Ian Berry, beekeeper of Havelock North (on the nomination of the National Beekeepers Association of New Zealand Inc.);
Mathew George Brajkovich, winemaker of Kumeu (on the nomination of the Wine Institute of New Zealand Inc.); and
David William Ritchie, farmer of Otane (on the nomination of the Federated Farmers of New Zealand Inc.)
as members of the Pesticides Board for a period of 3 years from 18 August 1988.
