Points to Note:

  1. Please note that there have been some changes in the access and tariff conditions for handkerchiefs (G941) as follows: the tender level for 1988/89 has been increased by 3% rather than the 2% which has been applied to all other textile and plastic apparel; the LDC tariff level will be increased to 24% on 1 September 1988.

  2. Please also note that the amounts tendered in this round for men’s and boys’ jackets (G906 and G907) represent only 50% of the total tender allocations for 1988/89. The balance, less continuity, will be tendered later.

  3. It should also be noted that at present there is underway a review of access and tariff levels for apparel. Government decisions on this review are expected to be announced in the first half of August 1988.
