Defence Act 1971

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

Pursuant to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971 His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Surgeon Commodore Anthony George Stark, M.B., B.S. (LOND.), D.OBST., D.P.H., D.I.H., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 1 May 1988.

Commander John Martin Halliday, B.SC., M.P.P., L.T.C.L., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 5 April 1990, with effect from 6 April 1988.

Commander Gerard John Power is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves until 6 December 1989, with effect from 1 June 1988.

The following temp. Commanders to be Commander with seniority and effect from the date shown:

G. F. Nixey, M.B.E., 19 April 1988.

W. R. Linn, B.E.M., 1 May 1988.
