Law Practitioners Act 1982

Disciplinary Tribunal Decision

Pursuant to section 117 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, on the 14th day of September 1987, ordered that the name of Geoffrey Noel Felton of Hamilton, barrister and solicitor, be struck off the Roll of Barristers and the Roll of Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand, and further ordered that the said Geoffrey Noel Felton pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of five hundred and fifty-seven dollars and seventy-seven cents ($557.57) in respect of the costs and expenses of, and incidental to, the inquiry by the Tribunal, and pay the sum of six thousand, five hundred and sixty-four dollars and sixty-five cents ($6,564.65) to the Hamilton District Law Society towards the costs and expenses of, and incidental to, the inquiry by its District Council.

Disciplinary Tribunal Decision

Pursuant to section 117 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, on the 28th day of July 1987, ordered that the name of Eruera Gary Wiringi Meroiti of Rotorua, barrister and solicitor, be struck off the Roll of Barristers and the Roll of Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand, and further ordered that the said Eruera Gary Wiringi Meroiti pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of two thousand, one hundred dollars ($2,100.00) in respect of the costs and expenses of, and incidental to, the inquiry by the Tribunal, and pay the sum of three thousand, eight hundred dollars ($3,800.00) to the Hamilton District Law Society towards the costs and expenses of, and incidental to, the inquiry by its District Council, and a further order prohibiting the publication of the name of the employers of the practitioner, the firm of Hannah Grant & Co.
