Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

In the New Zealand Gazette notice with the above heading published on 17 December 1987, No. 228, page 6116, amend the area in the Schedule pertaining to the marae to read 8093 square metres.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of building sites for the common use and benefit of the Whanau of Tihema Karawana or Galvin.

Pursuant to sections 24 and 30 of the New Zealand Railways Corporation Act 1981 and section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the General Manager of the New Zealand Railways Corporation, with the prior written consent of the Minister of Railways, hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for Ministry of Transport purposes.
