The Morven-Glenavy Irrigation Amendment Order 1987

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Wellington this 8th day of June 1987

Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 208 of the Public Works Act 1981, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 4th day of May 1970 and published in the Gazette of 7 May 1970, No. 27, page 793, by the following order.

ORDER

1. This order may be cited as the Morven-Glenavy Irrigation Amendment Order 1987 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Morven-Glenavy Extension Irrigation Order 1970 (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

2. This order shall come into force 7 days after it is published in the Gazette.

3. The Morven-Glenavy Extension Irrigation District specified in the Second Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended by including the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimate County, containing 337 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of the Morven-Glenavy Irrigation District described in New Zealand Gazette, 1970, page 793, on the south-eastern side of Old Ferry Road in line with the southern side of Pikes Point Road; thence westerly generally to and along the southern side of Pikes Point Road to the western boundary of Section 8A, Block X, Waihao Survey District; thence generally southerly along the said western boundary of Section 8A to the northern side of Fleming Road; thence generally easterly along the northern side of Fleming Road and that boundary produced to the south-eastern side of Old Ferry Road; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Old Ferry Road to the point of commencement.

Appointing Member and Reappointing Deputy to the Engineering Associates Registration Board

Pursuant to section 3 (2) of the Engineering Associates Act 1961, the Minister of Works and Development hereby appoints

Stuart James Crabbe of Wellington, retired,
as a member of the Engineering Associates Registration Board, and hereby reappoints

Cliff Somerville Harnett of Auckland, as his deputy

on and after the 9th day of June 1987.

Appointments to the New Zealand Planning Council

Pursuant to section 7 of the New Zealand Planning Act 1982, as amended by the New Zealand Planning Act 1987, His Excellency has been pleased to appoint four new members to the New Zealand Planning Council. They are:

James Crichton, general manager of the Blenheim Borough Council,

Alan Levett, social science and market development consultant of Wellington,

Anthony Rayner, professor of agricultural economics and marketing at Lincoln College, Canterbury, and

Margaret Tapper, company director of Auckland.

The appointments are for 3-year terms and took effect from 1 June 1987.
