IMPORT CONTROL REGULATIONS 1973
AMENDMENT TO CALL FOR TENDERS—ROUND 47
Pursuant to regulation 9A (2a) of the Import Control Regulations 1973 (as inserted by regulation 2 of the Import Control Regulations 1973, Amendment No. 6), the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice that the notice on pages 2289 to 2292 of the Gazette of 22 May 1987 calling for tenders for Round 47 of the import licence tender scheme is amended as follows:
(i) By omitting from the description of goods for which import licence offered under tender number 5710 is available the words “, other than fish based”; and
(ii) By revoking the following items:

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The purpose of this notice is to correct errors in the Gazette notice of 22 May 1987 calling for tenders for Round 47 of the import licence tendering scheme.
The effect of the amendments is—
(i) To remove the restriction “other than fish based” from the description of goods for which import licence offered under tender number 5710 is available; and
(ii) To revoke all tenders which were given the numbers 5716 to 5723 inclusive. As each of those numbers appeared twice in the original Gazette notice it is necessary to revoke the relevant part of the notice.

AMENDMENT TO CALL FOR TENDERS—ROUND 48
TYRE AND TUBE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Pursuant to regulation 9A (2A) of the Import Control Regulations 1973 (as inserted by regulation 2 of the Import Control Regulations 1973, Amendment No. 6), the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice that the notice on pages 2293 to 2298 of the Gazette of 25 May 1987 calling for tenders for Round 48 of the import licence tender scheme is amended by revoking so much of the notice as relates to the Tyre and Tube Industry Development Plan (including tender numbers 5822, 5823 and 5824).
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This notice amends the notice in the Gazette of 25 May 1987 calling for tenders for Round 48 of the import licence tender scheme by revoking the part of the notice which relates to the Tyre and Tube Industry Development Plan, including tender numbers 5822, 5823 and 5824.

CALL FOR TENDERS: ROUND 49
Pursuant to the Import Control Regulations 1973 (S.R. 1980/246), I, D. F. Caygill, Minister of Trade and Industry, hereby call tenders for the goods specified below. Tenders close on the 22nd day of June 1987 at 5 p.m. and must be received by the Registrar of Tenders by then to be valid.
These tenders are called following amendments to Rounds 47 and 48.

It should be noted that three new tender licence categories are created and two separate six monthly allocations of licence are now offered for tender rather than a full year’s tender as was in the previous 2 years of the plan. Normal continuity provisions will apply.
The licence will be valid for one year after the date set for the payment of deposits.
