FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN

FOOTWEAR: EIGHTH ALLOCATION

This is the eighth round held under the Footwear Industry Development Plan, and is the first on a value basis (as a result of the 1986
review of the FIDP). Continuity licence is now available and the limit on the amount that can be won by a single tenderer is removed.

Those bidding should note that tariff levels on footwear are to be changed on 1 July 1987 (and 1 July 1988).

The tariff has been restructured with effect from 1 July 1987 to reflect changes in the FIDP review on the size cut-off between children’s
and adults’ footwear: tenderers should refer to the latest Customs Tariff Amendment for new tariff items appearing in the New Zealand
Gazette of 14 May.

Licences will be valid from 1 July 1987 to 30 June 1988.
