The Dannevirke District Instalment Rating Order 1987

At Wellington this 11th day of May 1987

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 37 (1) (b) of the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Dannevirke District Instalment Rating Order 1987.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
Instalment rating—(1) The rates levied in the district of the Dannevirke District Council during the financial year commencing on the 1st day of April 1987 shall be levied in 4 instalments as follows:
(a) The instalment in respect of April, May, and June shall be due and payable on the 15th day of May 1987;
(b) The instalment in respect of July, August, and September shall be due and payable on the 7th day of August 1987;
(c) The instalment in respect of October, November, and December shall be due and payable on the 6th day of November 1987;
(d) The instalment in respect of January, February, and March shall be due and payable on the 5th day of February 1988.

(2) Sections 86D to 86E of the Rating Act 1967 shall apply as if the system of instalment rating established by this order had been introduced by a special order of the Dannevirke District Council confirmed before the 1st day of April 1987 and coming into force on that date.
