Notice Declaring African Feather Grass (Pennisetum macrourum) a Class B Noxious Plant (No. 4031; Ag. 12/10/18/6)

  1. Pursuant to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares African feather grass (Pennisetum macrourum) to be a Class B noxious plant in that part of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of Manawatu County and Matamata District Noxious Plants Authority.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after its date of notification in the Gazette.

Timber Preservation Regulations 1984—Branding and Identification of Preservative Treated Timber

PURSUANT to regulation 12 of the Timber Preservation Regulations 1984, the Timber Preservation Authority hereby gives notice that clause 1.4 of the said regulations is revoked.

Clause 1.4 will now read:
1.4 "Surface Brand" means a brand placed on the face, back or edge of treated timber by incising or branding with a permanent ink approved by the authority. Such brand will be in letters not less than 10 mm high and shall as a minimum embody the hazard rating and the registered number. Face brand has a corresponding meaning.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 12 March 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Licensed Premises known as the DB Ponsonby Club Hotel, Three Lamps, Ponsonby, Auckland.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 1 o’clock in the morning of the next day.

(c) On Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00:30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(e) On the Thursday preceding Easter—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.
