Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Lower Hutt City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Franklin County Council on the 25th day of November 1986:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said county in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a scenic reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act, and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Marawaiwai Scenic Reserve.

Classification of Reserve and Declaration That the Reserve be Part of the Taramain Wildlife Refuge Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Commissioner of Crown Lands hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a Government purpose (wildlife refuge) reserve, and further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Taramain Wildlife Refuge Reserve to be administered by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
