DESCRIPTIONS OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL ELECTORAL DISTRICTS

BAY OF ISLANDS

All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the line of mean high water of the Tasman Sea and the middle of the mouth of the southern branch of the Waipoua River, Block V, Waipoua Survey District, and proceeding north-westerly, north-easterly and easterly generally up the middle of the Waipoua River to its intersection with the western boundary of Block VIII, Waipoua Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Blocks VIII and IV, Waipoua Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section 22, Block XVI, Waoku Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of the last-mentioned Section 22, the southern end of an unnamed legal road, Section 18, Block XVI, Waoku Survey District, along a right line across Waoku Road, to and along the southern boundaries of Sections 14, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District, and Section 16, Block I, Tutamoe Survey District, to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 7, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District, along a right line, being the production of that western boundary to the middle of the Mangakahia River; thence easterly down the middle of the Mangakahia River, to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 3, Block XV, Punakitere Survey District; thence northerly along a right line, to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 5, DP 101858; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of the said Lot 5, and the last boundary produced to the middle of Mangauroa Stream, down the middle of the Mangauroa Stream and the Mangakahia River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Aukumeroa No. 2, Block IV, Tutamoe Survey District, along a right line, to and along the last-mentioned north-western boundary, and that boundary produced to the middle of the Mangakahia River; thence easterly down the middle of the Awaru River, to a point due west of the southernmost corner of a piece of land, as shown on SO Plan 47177, 1.8013 hectares, (4a-1r-32.2p); thence due east along a right line, to that southernmost corner, along the eastern boundary of that piece of land, as shown on SO Plan 47177, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 7, DP 11394 Block IV, Tutamoe Survey District; thence easterly along a right line, to and along the aforesaid northern boundary and the northern boundaries of Lot 10, DP 104823, Lot 8, DP 11394 (now part of Lot 1, DP 91882), the southern boundary of Lot 3, DP 11394, (now part of Lot 10, DP 104823), the northern boundary of Lot 4, DP 11394, (now part of Lot 10, DP 104823), and again the northern boundary of Lot 10, DP 104823, Block I, Mangakahia Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, DP 91882, to its intersection with the middle of the Kaikou River, Block XIII, Motatau Survey District; thence north-easterly generally down the middle of the Kaikou River to its confluence with the middle of the Omapuku Stream; thence south-erly up the middle of the Omapuku Stream to the south-western corner of Kaikou A3E, Block XIV, Motatau Survey District; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Kaikou A3E, and that boundary produced to the middle of the Rotohangau Stream; thence north-easterly down the middle of the Rotohangau Stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Pipiwai Road, along a right line, to and along the last-mentioned southern boundary to its intersection with the southern side of Pipiwai Road, along a right line, to Trig Takorokoro, Block XV, Motatau Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of Maromaku Block, to its easternmost corner, Block XVI, Motatau Survey District, and the last boundary produced to the middle of Tipene Road, to its intersection with the middle of Puhita Road; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along the middle of Puhita Road to its intersection with the southern boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Motatau Survey District, along that southern boundary, to and northerly along the western boundaries of part Motatau 2 Section 30B, and part Motatau 2 Section 56, and the last boundary produced to the middle of Motatau Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of Motatau Road, to and along the middle of Maromaku Road to its intersection with the middle of Tipene Road, Block VII, Motatau Survey District, along a right line, to and along the south-western side of Maromaku Road, to and along the south-western boundaries of Motatau 2, Section 67, to and along the north-western boundaries of part Motatau 31A, (now part of Motatau 2, Section 67, as shown on ML Plan 15049), and the last boundary produced to the middle of the Ramarama Stream; thence easterly generally up the middle of the Ramarama Stream, to its intersection with the north-eastern side of the North Auckland Railway; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of the said Railway to its intersection with the middle of an unnamed legal road, as shown on SO Plan 19294, 6146 square metres (1a 2r 03p), Block III, Motatau Survey District, along the middle of the last-mentioned unnamed legal road, to and along the middle of Davis Road to its intersection with the eastern side of the North Auckland Railway, to its intersection along the middle of the Taikirau Stream, to and northerly generally down the middle of Waiharakeke Stream, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Motatau No. 2, Section 2A; thence easterly along a right line, to and along the aforesaid northern boundary, and that boundary, produced to the middle of Pokapu Road; thence north-easterly along the middle of Pokapu Road to a point in line with the middle of Waiharakeke Stream; thence north-westerly along a right line, to and up the middle of the aforesaid stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of a piece of Crown Land, Reserved from sale under Section 58, Land Act 1948, along a right line, to and along the aforesaid north-eastern boundary and north-eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, along a right line, across the Okaihau Branch Railway, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Motatau 4E, 4046 square metres (1a-0r-0p); thence north-westerly along a series of right lines, 109.35 metres distant from and parallel to the north-western side of Ngapipito Road to its intersection with the western boundary of Motatau 4B3B1; thence northerly along the western boundaries of the last-mentioned Motatau 4B3B1, to and along the south-western boundary of part Motatau 4F, Block XV, Kawakawa Survey District, to and along the north-western boundaries of the aforesaid part Motatau 4F and part Motatau 4C and the south-eastern boundary of part Ongawhi and that last boundary produced to the middle of SH 1; thence south-easterly along the middle of SH 1, to a point in line with the middle of Hautapu Road; thence north-westerly and north-easterly generally along a right line, to and along the middle of Hautapu Road, to and along the middle of an unnamed legal road forming the northern boundaries of Allotment 170, Kawakawa Parish, as shown on DP 25535 and part Lot 1, DP 12753 to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 3, DP 23015; thence north-westerly along a right line, to and along the last-mentioned south-western boundary, to and northerly along the western boundary of an unnamed legal road, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 56 and 55, Kawakawa Parish, Block XI, Kawakawa Survey District, to a point due east of the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned Allotment 55, along a right line, to the southernmost corner of part Allotment 53, Kawakawa Parish to its north-western corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 51 and 47, Kawakawa Parish to the southernmost corner of Allotment 46, Kawakawa Parish; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned Allotment 46, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of McIntyre Road; thence south-easterly along the middle of McIntyre Road, to and south-westerly and easterly along an unnamed legal road forming the north-western and southern boundaries of Allotment 44, Kawakawa Parish, to and along the middle of McIntyre Road to a point due south of the southernmost corner of Allotment 253, Kawakawa Parish, Block XII, Kawakawa Survey District; thence due north along a right line, for a distance of approximately 850 metres; thence due east along another right line, for a distance of approximately 190 metres, to its intersection with the middle of Whangae Road and the middle of an unnamed road;
