Proclaiming Land to be Taken for Railway Purposes at Caroline

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Most Reverend Sir Paul Alfred Reeves, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for railway purposes.

All those pieces of land described as follows:

Appointment of Disaster Recovery Co-ordinator

Pursuant under section 69 of the Civil Defence Act 1983, I, Peter Tapsell, hereby appoint

Muir M. Coup, resident manager, Ministry of Works and Development, Rotorua

as the disaster recovery co-ordinator for the Whakatane Combined Civil Defence District and the Borough of Kawerau for a term of 14 days, effective from 1500 hours, Thursday, 5 March 1987.

The disaster recovery co-ordinator shall exercise the functions, duties and powers contained in section 71 (1) and section 72 of the Civil Defence Act 1983.

Acting District Court Judge and Taxation Review Authority Appointed

PURSUANT to section 10 of the District Courts Act 1947, section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974 and section 23 of the Inland Revenue Department Act 1974 His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Patrick John Keane, barrister and solicitor of Wellington

to be an acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Court for a term of 12 months on and from 3 April 1987 and to be a Taxation Review Authority for a term of 7 years on and from 26 February 1987.

Appointment of Member to Shipping Industry Tribunal to Replace E. G. Davey

Pursuant to the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952, notice is hereby given that His Excellency the Governor-General, on the 5th day of March 1987, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, appointed
