O’Brien), gives notice of the receipt of the following applications, and will hold a public sitting to receive evidence or representations whether submitted in writing or presented in person for or against the granting of them in the Conference Room, Ministry of Transport Office, corner Cuba and George Streets, Palmerston North, commencing Tuesday, 17 March 1987 at 11 a.m. Applicants must be present or represented. All documents for alteration must be handed in at the sitting.


Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Auckland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (1) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, David Oughton, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing Committee on 3 February 1987 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Huapai Tavern.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 00.30 o’clock in the morning on New Year’s Day.

Bylaw to Control the Use of Unofficial Signs on State Highways

  1. This bylaw shall be known as the Signs on State Highways Bylaw 1987/3 and shall come into force on the 26th day of February 1987.

  2. The bylaw is made under the authority of the National Roads Act 1953 in respect of State highways throughout New Zealand.

  3. In this bylaw—

“Board” means the National Roads Board.
“District Commissioner of Works” shall mean the District Commissioner of Works of the Ministry of Works and Development.
