North Taranaki District Boundary Definition Notice 1987

Pursuant to section 48 of the Local Government Act 1974, the Secretary Local Government gives the following notice:

1. This notice may be cited as the North Taranaki District Boundary Definition Notice 1987.

2. The boundaries of North Taranaki District are hereby defined as set out in the Schedule hereto, those boundaries having been altered by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 August 1986, No. 123, page 3311 and which came into force on 1 October 1986.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF NORTH TARANAKI DISTRICT

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high water mark of the Tasman Sea being the northern corner of Section 26, Block IV, Cape Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 26; to the northern side of Coast Road; thence south-easterly along a right line to and along the middle of Punihu Road to a point where the end of that road abuts the Egmont National Park; thence south-easterly along a right line to the summit of Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont;
