(c) Except in the case of a casual vacancy or as otherwise
provided in this notice, every member shall hold office until
the 15th day of November in the third year after that
member’s election of appointment, and if on the 15th day of
November the appointment or election of the successor has
not been notified to the council, that member shall continue to
hold office until the date on which that appointment or
election is so notified.
(d) If any member
(i) Dies; or
(ii) Resigns office by giving written notice addressed to the
council or to the chairman or the secretary thereof; or
(iii) Is absent without leave from the meetings of the council
for 3 consecutive months; or
(iv) While holding office becomes ineligible to remain a
member by reason of disability, insolvency, neglect of duty or
misconduct, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as
soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment or election
of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was
appointed or elected. The member appointed or elected to fill
the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of
office of the member whom that person replaces.
(e) The powers of the council shall not be affected by vacancy
in the membership thereof.

Specification Declared Suitable
Pursuant to the provisions of regulation 18 (3) of the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1976, the following specification is
declared suitable for the purposes of those regulations.
Australian Standard
AS 3148-1987 Approval and Test Specification—Electric Bed
Warmers.
Compliance with a declared standard shall not preclude the
need to comply with the requirements of the Electrical Wiring
Regulations 1976.

New Zealand Act 1974
Central Otago Community Arts Council Change of
Name to Alexandra Community Arts Council
Pursuant to section 32 (i) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts
Council of New Zealand Act, 1974, on the recommendation of
the Southern Regional Arts Council and at the request of the
Central Otago Community Arts Council, the Queen Elizabeth
II Arts Council of New Zealand hereby designates the
Alexandra Community Arts Council for the following duly
defined area:
To include the Vincent County and all the towns and
boroughs therein excluding that part bounded by a straight line
east from the top of the Crown Range until it meets the eastern
boundary of the Maniototo County and including that
adjoining part of the Tuapeka County bounded by the Clutha
River and excluding the township of Beaumont, and thence
proceeding in a straight line north-east until it reaches the
Taieri County.
This notice revokes the previous notice headed “Designation
